Storm Center

Hurricane Season begins June 1 and ends November 30.  Although we are never ready to experience a major storm, we must all be prepared and have a Plan.

Early uncharacteristic weather conditions have led many forecasters to predict that the 2015 hurricane season will be quite similar to the previous year. Weather experts suggest that there may be as many as 7 named storms in the Atlantic Hurricane basin. Three of these storms will strengthen into hurricanes; two attaining major hurricane strength (Category 3, 4 or 5). In the short period of January-April 2015, much of the world witnessed disastrous conditions inflicted by other natural hazards such as flooding, tornadoes, earthquakes, tsunamis and open borders.

Please make time to review your insurance policies and contact us if you have any questions or need to make any changes.  We ask that you do this as soon as possible.  When there is a named storm within specified coordinates, insurance companies will not write new nor increase current property coverage.

Price Insurance Agency has developed a full Catastrophe plan that begins with evacuation for our employees so that once the storm has passed, regardless of the conditions; we will be available to handle your claims, we are committed to being here for you after a storm, any storm.

After the storm, depending on the damage, we will be taking claims from our Vidor office.  If we suffer significant damage to our building, we will be operating out of a mobile office trailer.  Our trailer can accommodate all of our staff and provide us full access to our customer and company files.

We have set up The Price Agency dedicated post-storm claims phone number.  Our CAT phone number is (409) 201-8787.  Please keep this number.  It will be used if we are unable to operate out of our building or if the phone lines are down.  These procedures will apply to any catastrophic event:  flood, fire or wind, which affect our office and area as well.

For all property claims, especially after a significant storm hits our area, please take the following steps:

  • Contact us direct to report your claim
  • If your policy information is available, certainly you may contact the insuring company direct, please advise us if you do to avoid duplication
  • Do what you can to prevent further damage
  • Make temporary repairs only and keep all receipts
  • Nothing says it like a photo, so if there is damage, take photos to document the damage.
  • Make sure you leave us your cell phone number if you leave a message

We are proud to be your insurance agency and value your trust; we understand that the time you will count on us the most will be when you have a claim!

At The Price Agency, we have worked hard to be here for you.

Before and especially After the storm!
